iOS 10 SMS Links not clickable

I want to send a SMS text message to another iPhone, but the problem is the https link that's there in the message becomes non clickable.

P.S. Mine is an iPhone 7 and want to send message to an iPhone 6S. Both devices runs the latest iOS which is 10.3.1.

But if I send the same message from an Android phone it appears as a clickable link.

Just checked settings by enabling and disabling iMessenger but didn't make any difference. Wonder if there is any specific setting I am missing.

Hi,

I have a very similar issue (findings described here: Urls in Message not linkified), but the problem with SMS for me happened only on 10.3.2 and 10.3.3. Apparently, when the Message application is not running, and you get a single SMS containing a link from a sender, the app does not linkify the URL. If there are already some messages in the conversation, then it does. However, for the iMessage the URLs don't get linkified if the sender is unknown. Probably this is a privacy measure introduced by Apple, but not documented anywhere.
