How do I permanently turn off the predictive bar above my iOS keyboard. Helpful to others but for me, I never ever want to see it again.

I can type fast (some of my older friends say so ;) ) and don't want/need the predictive bar help above the iOS keyboard so I keep turning off the predictive bar; however, I'm inadvertently and unknowingly doing something (strange) on the iOS keyboard and up pops that predictive bar yet again :/

At my wits end lol bc I know for sure I'm turning it off in settings under keyboard.

That I can somehow get it to appear from my keyboard - is this a glitch?! Or is there a way to turn it off from the keyboard too?

Help :/

You can turn it off at the keyboard but maybe your fast and furious typing is inadvertently enabling it again. Tap and hold down on the emoji icon to bring up the options bar and turn Predictive off. There is no way to permanently turn it off. It can always be renabled in the settings or on the keyboard itself.
