If one AirPod is louder than the other

When I listening to my AirPods it sounds like my right AirPod is slightly louder than the left. I even replaced the left one on an Apple Store, but still having the same issue. Unpair/Pair was another try.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Thanks!!

One of the most common reasons why one AirPod may sound louder than the other is the accumulation of dirt, dust, or earwax on the speaker grills. To clean your AirPods, you can use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to wipe the surface of each AirPod. You can also use a dry cotton swab to reach the hard-to-reach areas, such as the small cracks and crevices.

For the speaker grills, you can use a soft-bristle brush or a toothbrush to gently brush away any debris that may be stuck on them. Do not use any liquid or sharp objects to clean your AirPods, as this may damage them or cause water damage. After cleaning your AirPods, make sure they are completely dry before placing them in the charging case or using them again. This way, you can ensure that your AirPods sound balanced and clear.

I might say this is the best method to fix this issue, However there are other fixes too, but I can't elaborate each one, its best you search on google and find a relevant guide or you can visit this guide that has provided 8 Solutions on how to fix volume on one AirPod lounder then other

Clean whichever AirPod is lower with rubbing alcohol and Q-tips. Be sure to hold the AirPod facing down so that you don’t get alcohol inside of the AirPod. Dry completely with the other end of the Q-tip. What worked best for me was holding the AirPod up to the vacuum hose using the smallest piece and sucked all the debris out. Works like new. Be sure not to let go of the AirPod to where it gets sucked up. That would be horrible.. Clean again and dry completely by repeating step one.

My left AirPod’s sound was muffled and I went through all the normal troubleshooting with Apple chat support just for them to tell me to bring it in for replacement which I didn’t feel like doing but thought I had no choice until I googled my problem and came across this thread, the sucking thing really worked.... 2 years later! Thanks

I have to say the whole sucking thing, was along the lines of internet jokes, and I have to say the thought of sucking earwax is gross, but not as gross as buying new AirPods, so I gave it a shot.

What The! I’m dumbfounded it legit works, and no earwax came out or anything gross.

I would do this for a friends AirPods but I would highly recommend this be a trouble shoot before buying new ones.

soo I tried the sucking method and my right airpod sounds like it has WAY more base then the left AirPod. I even did a test on which airpod is the loudest and the right one is!!! I’ve tried cleaning them, sucking them and etc and my left airpod sounds quieter than the right. I even went to settings to see if there was something wrong there and their wasn’t! I’m not sure what to do

Sucking on the small speaker definitely fixed my problem. Another thing to clear your Airpod of earwax even more is to blow through the smaller side speaker on the outside of the bud until you feel airflow coming through the big speaker. This is a sign that the pod had been cleared of the wax that was preventing the sound from coming out. Hope this helps!

Wow. Thought this was total snake oil, but I've 'forgot', reset and reconnected so many bl00dy times I was willing to try anything. Worked first time. Apple defo didn't mention this in their support section. Have no idea why this works - I'd cleaned every single speck of wax from them and this sucking had no discernible physical effect that I could see (No more wax came out etc) but it fixed it perfectly....!
