Hello talhazaidii,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems you are experiencing issues with the option to have the LED on your iPhone flash for alerts when your ringer switch is set to silent. If you haven't tried this already, go to Settings > General > Accessibility > LED Flash for Alerts, turn this off temporarily and restart your iPhone as the shut down and start up process is important to keep the iOS software running properly. iOS clears cached data and does other system optimizations when you turn your device off and on. Once your iPhone is back on, then go back to Settings > General > Accessibility > LED Flash for Alerts, turn on Flash on Silent and test your issue again.

Thanks for replying, talhazaidii, and that additional info, it really helps! At this point, we would like you to reinstall iOS on your device; this will help us isolate the situation further. Reinstalling iOS should not affect any of your data, but it is always a best practice to make sure you have a current backup in either iTunes or iCloud.

Once you have a current backup, follow the steps from the "If your device turns on but gets stuck during start up" section in this article:

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on

These steps will reinstall iOS. Keep in mind that these steps were written for a different issue, but they will still help us isolate the situation further. Have a great day and thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

Hey talhazaidii, we really appreciate your patience and working with us on your issue. At this point to narrow down this issue further, use iTunes on your Mac or PC to backup and restore your iOS software to factory settings, as this process erases the information and settings on your device and installs a fresh copy of the latest iOS software. Temporarily setup your phone as new to test your issue, and then restore your backup and test the issues again.

Let us know the results of this test. We'll help you get through this. Best regards.

For the LED to flash alerts using the LED flash, the Notification Setting for whichever app you want to be alerted by, using the LED flash needs to have the "Show on Lock Screen" setting enabled under Notifications as well as the "LED Flash for Alerts" under Accessibility.

For example, to have the LED Flash alert you when you get a text message:

Settings>General>Accessibility>(Hearing)LED Flash for Alerts *should be turned on*.

Settings>Notifications>Messages>Show on Lock Screen *should be turned on*.

Turn on this particular notification setting for each app you want to enable the LED flash for it's notification.
