How do I remove a contact from a group text? With condition

This is the complete opposite of what was requested! What the heck!

There is no leave conversation ,or delete on my phone and I have an iphone 8

i have the latest update and this is not now nor has it ever been available as an option. the only things available are my current location share my location hide alerts images attachments

This I very upsetting. Post was initially entered April 2017. Here we are almost a year later and Apple has done nothing to fix this and make it an option for Apple users. Ridiculous!!!

This is frustrating that the option to remove someone from a chat is no longer available. The option of tap details and swipe from right to left Does NOT work. I hope Apple fixes this ASAP

THESE instructions from Apple on how to remove a contact from a group message DO NOT WORK! It simply sends you to the contacts’ page!!

Same issue here with the iPhone 8 and latest update. Unbelievable that Apple products are getting less and less user friendly. ARE YOU LISTENING APPLE???

I use group text all the time. I can’t add or delete a contact from a group text. I’ve googled and nothing on google works. Help.

Christmas Eve and I am getting frustrated family saying remove them from a group message I created or delete it altogether. Sure wish I could. I’ve tried for an hour and CAN’T. My anxiety is thru the roof and I will NEVER start a group again. Seems like I can never do anything right. I should have spent the extra time contacting the 18 families in person separately. I’m angry Apple doesn’t seem to think this is an important issue to fix. 😡😡😡

This is so pathetic, apple needs to fix this problem. It makes me want to switch to android.

If a user in the group is non-iPhone (android, etc.) and their messages are coming through SMS or MMS, then the options listed above will not be available. $UX, i know.

I’m with you. I have a wrong number in a chat and this poor person keeps getting texts and I can’t remove her.
