Video Rendering Error 10008 FCPX

I am trying to share a finished project in Final Cut Pro X and I have gotten this error message: Video Rendering Error 10008. I have successfully isolated a dropped frame. My first effort was to re-import the film clip because the source video did not seem to have a dropped frame but this has not helped.

So I am at the work-around stage of things. How do you delete a single frame (a suggested solution)? Can you copy the previous frame and paste it into the dropped frame to preserve timing/audio or is one frame just trivial?

Ben, this error message means that your project cannot be shared because of a dropped frame. Within my 1 hour and 35 minute project finding this is the proverbial needle in the haystack but on this forum others have pointed out that if you try to share your project as a Master File, your error message will give you a time code and/or frame number of the problematic frame. So if you look at the area you will detect the "blip" and if you go at it frame by frame, you will see the black or dropped frame. And then, as often the experts do, they blithely say, "just do _____ and you'll be good."

So I am searching for more detail on this little thing that I cannot find a lot of info about how to do. :-)

Which is how to delete a single frame and what happens to my audio when I do that.

Ah, Tom, thank you for arriving.

Your statement is what I know! I just don't know what my options are for accomplishing this. What I did was make a copy of the frame before my missed frame and then i timed it for 2 frames and appended it to the time line. It's not perfect but it did allow me to share the video--I hope.

Short of having footage that includes the dropped frame, is there something more elegant that can be done?
