Prints ordered from Apple too dark

When I order prints in iPhoto from my MacBook Pro the prints always come back too dark. The whites are not white, the yellows are muddy. I use the project preview before ordering the prints, and the images look perfect. I have even slightly over exposed the whites, but yet the same issue persists with Apples print service, muddy whites, reds, yellows and too dark. Is any one else experiencing this. All software is updated.

Thank you.

Thank you léonie for your response. Although I do not have a photo printer, I did print out some sample prints on my home printer to check the color scheme, and the color values match the image on my MacBook Pro. I paint digital watercolors on my iPad Pro and the colors of the images look exactly the same between my MacBook Pro, iPad Pro and my iPhone. I did recheck all display settings in each device and they are set correctly. I did call Apple Customer service today, and they told me a lot of people are having the same problems, I'm not sure what a work around might be ..... Thanks.
