Can I export my reminders from iCloud

I would like to export my reminders as a backup file on my computer. I would be totally lost if I ever crashed and could not get them back. My husband and I have many, many medical activities for which I depend on my iPhone to remind me. I had a "scare" a few days ago (I signed into the wrong account) and when I did not see my reminders, I nearly had a heart attack. I corrected the problem and got them back, but it occurred to me that if I ever REALLY lost them, I would not be able to re-create them. If anyone has knowledge of a way to export them, I would be very grateful.
