iPhone 6: grey bar on bottom of screen

Does anyone have this issue? The bar on the bottom does not go away but changes color or gets weird like in the 2nd photo. Sometimes the text displayed in the bar area gets transferred over when I switch windows.

What is wrong with my screen and how do I fix it?

model: MG632LL/A

version: 10.2.1

Thanks!

Hi there fox21,

Sorry that issue is going with your phone, I've had that happen in the past. This issue is more or less a "known issue" with the 6/6 plus - in which Apple used to recommend a screen replacement, but has since switched to replacing your device for the cost of a display. This comes out to $149 plus tax at your local Apple store. The only thing barring them from doing this "repair" would be if liquid damage or a crack in the screen could be found.

Book an appointment at www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar to get this issue resolved.

As there is no quick fix at home for this issue, I would hold off in restoring the phone as suggested by another user.
