I have ipod classic and itunes 12.6. how do I remove songs from ipod and leave in itunes. I have tried connecting ipod and clicking "manage music manually" and it won't let me delete songs.

so I just have to leave manually manage checked and it will still sync the playlists that I have checked to sync, right? I think I FINALLY got it!

so I delete the songs IN THE iTUNES LIBRARY from the playlists that I sync, then I sync and the songs will be gone from iPod
