Starz app won't load

Not sure if you ever resolved this, but I figure a bump might help the cause. For the past few weeks I've been unable to launch the Starz app on my 3rd generation Apple TV. Restarting and hard restart have no effect. Each time I get the message "Uh oh, something went wrong, try again later".

Unlike the current gen Apple TV, I can't uninstall or reinstall the application. Not sure what my options are, but it's super frustrating.

Hey, I got tired of seeing this message and really wanted to watch a movie that just loaded to STARZ. Here are the steps I took to resolve the issues after about experiencing it for a month.

On apple TV I went to

Settings

General

Reset

Restore

After going through the restore settings

I went to Settings iCloud and and I set up the iCloud settings and iTunes Store settings.

Then I went to the STARZ app it asked for my logon code and it is now restored.

• 4th generation Apple TV running tvOS 9 or newer

If you are running a ATV 2nd generation you are out of luck.

Yep season finale of Power will have to wait. That *****. We moved and all I have here is apple tv while i work on old house, no cable. Have log in credentials and even signed up for streaming, but no app. Guess I will mirror my phone and watch from stream account cuz ya can't get xfinity on the new app. ***

i have received a reply from stars developer and he said that it will not work if you are located outside the USA although i live in kuwait and it was working fine!!! i think it”s time for me to cancel my subscription with them,good luck to you all.

Exact same problem here with my 3rd Gen Apple TV. I'm going to reach out to Starz to see if I can get any info. If not, I'm planning to restore/reload the firmware and software – has anyone tried that yet?

This problem started for me on Christmas using Apple TV purchased in Nov of 2015. As suggested, I tried to access STARZ on my Mac Book Pro with the same result .... spinning and spinning. I then tried to access STARZ using Firefox browser and STARZ opened fine. I think this is an Apple problem.

which logon code did they ask for?? do you mean the apple id cause i subscribed through iTunes or there is another code i should use?? thanks in advance.

Well, the developer doesn’t know what they’re talking about because I’m in AZ, USA and it’s not working for me.
