"Trust this Computer" notification does not appear on iphone

Hello,

Problem: My iPhone synchs with music and podcasts, but when I try to import my photos, it says "this phone has not been granted access to media" and tells me to tap "trust this computer" on my iPhone. (I'll include notification below). However, a "trust" notification never pops up on my phone. Therefore, I'm unable to trust my computer and can't import my photos from my phone to my laptop.

What I've tried: Restarting the computer, plugging device in again. No dice.

What I can't try: Updating my iPhone. I don't have enough storage because I can't get my pics off the phone.

Hi Little Lyon,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities.

I see that you are having an issue with receiving the Trust alert on your iPhone, and this is causing an issue when you try to import photos. I'll be glad to help you try and get this Trust alert again so you can import your photos.

I suggest following the steps in support article: About the ‘Trust This Computer‘ alert on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch , specifically:

Change your settings for trusted computers

Your iOS device remembers the computers you've chosen to trust.

If you don't want to trust a computer or other device anymore, change the privacy settings on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Location & Privacy. Now when you connect to formerly trusted computers, the Trust alert will ask you whether you trust that computer.

This should help you get the Trust alert now on your iPhone. Please let me know if you still have this issue.
Have a great day.
