GarageBand 6.0.5 in Sierra - Colors

Hi there! I hope you're doing good!

I've recently upgraded from OSX Mavericks to Sierra in order to get new apps. Fortunately, most of my older apps still work as a charm!

The only "bug" I've encountered so far is with the old GarageBand 6.0.5. (I can't bring myself to get to the newer version). The software works well, but all the colors are messed up! For instance, the Green/MIDI tracks are now pink, the Yellow/Audio tracks are now purple and so on. It's a minor bummer but it doesn't seem to affect the functionality of the product.

Did anyone experience this? Do you know if there's a way to restore the original colors back? If you have a way to do so, I'd be more than happy to hear it!

Thanks in advance for your kind help and have a good day!

Hi leonie

Are you running Sierra? I have this same problem but the control+option+g does not work for me. Once I hold ctrl+opt+g I am unable to select any tracks with the mouse. I have also tried rebuilding the plist files and I reinstalled Sierra but the tracks are still the same colour.

When I load garageband or my projects the progress bar is not displaying properly either: User uploaded file

I'm not sure if this is related to the track colour issue and/or if it is related to a bigger graphics problem.

Thanks!

This problem has been reported since El Capitan came out.

Re: Purple Tracks Since El Capitan upgrade

I was experiencing the same problem. However, I found a way to change the color of the tracks to blue....less annoying in appearance than that awful glowing purple.

Press control+option+g, then click on a track and all your tracks will change to blue. Then SAVE so that the tracks will not revert back to purple.

At least now I can read the labelling on the track itself and it's much easier on the eyes.

Cheers.
