adjust cursor blink rate

Hi all,

Since I'm paying attention to my cursor while typing, the cursor is distracting me. It's like a flashing light in front of my face. That's why I'd like to adjust the cursor blinking rate to zero. The following link explains how to fix this specific problem for a windows pc: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESxgQcBUSY0

I'd like to apply this adjustment on my Mac pc, but I can't find the 'blink rate cursor' option. Can anyone help me out please? I tried already some codes in Terminal ( http://www.mackungfu.org/alter-word-s-cursor-blink-rate ), but this doesn't seems to work for me.. Maybe an error in the code mentioned?
I've a macbook air 2015 model. Operating system: MacOS Sierra version 10.12.3.
Thank you in advance!

Regards,
Coen.

Apple doesn't let us disable blinking cursors, and doubled the blink frequency in 10.12.4. I wish they'd stop hurting photosensitive Mac users.

The terminal fixes work in NSText applications, but not in basic operating system functions or in Webkit applications.

I use NeoOffice instead of LibreOffice or Pages, because NeoOffice uses NSText and responds to the older cursor blink rate fix.

I use Firefox and Thunderbird instead of Safari and Mail, partly because Firefox has many more animation-blocking extensions, and partly because Firefox and Thunderbird have about:config settings controlling cursor blink rate which can be changed to disable cursor blinking.

I sometimes use an eyepatch too. It helps with flash-induced pain, blinding, disorientation, etc., but it dosn't help with flash-induced migraines.
