How,do,I,remove,engraving,from,a,5th,gen,iPod

I doubt you can. Since engraving involves removing metal you would have to file down the entire back of the device until you had removed a thickness equivalent to the depth of the engraving, Probably a jeweller or a metal worker could do this, and polish it, but I don't know how deep the engraving goes compared to the thickness of the back, and it might very well weaken it too much. You would have to ask for advice from someone equipped to do it.

Thank you so much Roger for taking the time to reply. I was hoping to find a way of removing the engraving. I watched a You Tube video where it had been removed successfully with first using 1500 wet and dry sandpaper and then 2500 to finish. It worked on the Apple model they were using but they didn’t say what model it was. I tried it on the 5th generation and the engraving wouldn’t budge. I am sure you are correct in what you are saying and will try your suggestion of seeking the help of a jeweller. Thank you once again for your help Roger.
