i am trying to sign up for a "free" three month trial of Apple Music and it won't allow me to, it keeps saying payment method declined. Why should i be paying today for a "free" three month trial?

This happened to me last night. I signed up for the free three months and I was promptly charged $9.99. Pretty shady, Apple.

You are not being charged for the trial.

Your ability to pay once the trial has ended is being verified. If your bank is declining your method of payment, Apple will have no assurance you will be able to pay in the future.

Also if they are just verifying payment availability, then why was my bank charged today. With out my free trail.

So LACAllen, I just cancelled my subscription. When is the money going back in my account? In three months or what?

I too have this issue. I had my card skimmed and so now I have asked my bank to block "payment enquiry". It is actually how thieves decide whether you are a good target...they ping your account with an payment enquiry...they do not take any money..if the request is verified, they steal my money. So, if this is the only way apple can trust me with a fecking credit card....I am not taking the request off my account - my card is platinum, not because I am rich but I pay all our charity bills with it which are substantial. I will go where they do trust visa platinum.....this was the last straw....I will use google music.

So will my $9.99 be refunded or will I not be charged for four months?
