Can I Pan a single midi note

to add to another post on this thread. if you are using the exs24 multi-channel insert you can assign different sound as aux channel inputs. this will allow you to pan your cymbals as you wish.

you can also use a multi-channel ultrabeat to do the same. next to the pan button for the instrument in ultrabeat you will see the word main. click on that and then you can assign an output for that specific sample.
from there you can go to an aux channel and assign the input of the aux to the ultrabeat or exs multi-channel output, and put effects, pans, volume and such.

very usefull.

I have found this really difficult to do..the best way around it is to put the hi-hat on a different track. That way you can pan that single item.

Another thing to do is if you are using Ultrabeat you can pan individual drums. It is right next to the keyboard graphic for each drum.

No Problem. The learning curve is tough on Logic. I've only been using it a year. I found that the two apple pro training series books were go great starting out. The manual is just so thick, these are good starting places.
