It is possible to load Audible books on your Ipod nano. Download the book onto your computer, open iTunes and make sure your ipod is connected to your computer and is showing in iTunes. Under file, choose add file to library. You will then be able to search your files for the downloaded audio book, once located, double click and open to add to the library.

From here you can simply sync your ipod and the audio book should be added.. or you can manually transfer the audio book to your ipod.

In iTunes, under your device, choose books, then choose edit playlist. Back up to library heading, change to books and choose audiobooks in the sub-menu. Simply drag the title to the book list on the right and let it sync.

I use my ipod nano for only audio books, 95% from audible.
