Since I updated to sierra I get this very annoying message whenever I play a video. Does anyone know how to solve this? Would really appreciate a hand. Thank you in advance.

You are using a Codec component that is not compatible with macOS Sierra. That Codec component was a part of a library that conflicts with macOS Sierra and in order for Quicktime to load would require to change the "Quick Look UI Helper" security settings. If you really need that Codec component you can proceed by clicking "Quick Look UI Helper" Lower Security Settings.

Thanks again for reply. Well, I have no idea which codec it is so I can't really tell whether I really need it or not. It happens when I open video files, some .avi files, but not all. In the end it does play them, so it's really just the annoying pop-ups I'm trying to get rid of. can I not somehow avoid this quick look helper - whatever it is - to do this? cause lowering security settings doesn't really sound that good. or what does it imply? Thank you again in advance for your reply.
