Profit margin formula

Hi All,

I am a basic user on Numbers but my work now means I need to start using formulas for price lists etc. Ideally I would like to input a formula so I can pre set my profit margin to a % which then gives me the sale price.

Any help would be appreciated.

It looks as if you have the formula in B2. Try my example where I have the formula in C2, cost in A2, and desired margin in B2.

Have you put a target margin % in B2, just as in the example?

What would be the best thing to do in your opinion to learn and understand numbers better? Any online course etc that you know of?
