"cannot parse response" (NSURLErrorDomain:-1017) when trying to go to forbes.com

On Safari, I get:

"cannot parse response" (NSURLErrorDomain:-1017)

when trying to go to forbes.com

Woks fine with Chrome. Restarted and no change.

MacBook Pro mid 2015

OS X 10.10.5

Safari 10.1 (10603.1.30.0.34)

Any advice?

I have the exact same problem.

Safari can't open the page. "The error is: "Cannot parse response" (NSURLErrorDomain:-1017)

Unable to reach Forbes.com - it's been happening for at least a couple of weeks. Removed extensions and plug-ins, reset Safari, deleted cookies and cache. Same results at both home and office networks.

Works in Chrome and Firefox.

It looks like a problem with Forbes.com website in the last few weeks

including today ( May19 2017)

Here's how to get Forbes to load.

1. Delete ANY bookmarks you have from Forbes.com (use CMD-OPT-B then Search for forbes)

2. Delete ANY History items from Forbes.com (use CMD-Y then Search for forbes)

3. Quit Safari

4. Restart Safari

5. Type forbes.com into the URL (if it autocompletes then you might still have bookmarks)

At this point it should load correctly.

But if you QUIT and Restart Safari, forbes.com will no longer load.

At this point you can just Clear History for the Last Hour and Restart Safari.

Forbes needs to fix this.
