Power source power adapter, but Battery is not charging

Here is the issue I am facing.

While Macbook pro, attached to magsafe connector, it shows;

Power source is, power adapter.

But the battery is not charging, and keep decreasing the battery % (like it has not been in charge).

The green or orange light of the magsafe not working either.

Means battery is unable to take the charge somehow, though I have checked battery condition is "normal".

I have tried with other magsafe connector, and it doesn't work too.

I have tried resetting SMC, it doesn't work too.

So what could be the reason?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, macOS Sierra (10.12.4)

I'd recommend taking your macbook to a genius bar where they can diagnose the problem. This is most likely a hardware issue.

As for your question why the battery is getting drained with the machine on the charger. The battery acts as a buffer between the charger and macbook. A normal macbook can lose a few percent of it's battery power while being charged due to this (although I only notice it with very demanding applications). Your issue could aggravate this phenomenon since your battery is never charged back up.

Why battery is keep draining

while it is on power adapter?

When the battery turns into 0%, then power adapter power source too unable to run the mac.

It turns completely dead. (as happened 2 months before, and I am afraid if now it happens again. At that time it didn't solve and one day after month, it started again.)

If the issue continues with a different magsafe charger the issue might be with the logic board or power delivery specifically. I'd visit the genius bar again when it's not charging and also show the backlight issue (although i don't understand your issue: after a shut down you push the power button and only the backlight turns on and the rest of the macbook does nothing?).

I have had this problem 2 months before and my battery went 0% and the mac went dead.

Almost a month it did not open.

I took it to genius bar, and they did not able to diagnose problem.

They even said it's logic board issue and which cost almost buying a new mac.

They was not even sure though, if changing logic board can solve the problem.

It was really frustrating experience and I don't know for which reason they are called genius anyway.

But I didn't change logic board then, and after a month it started working again.

All was fine.

It was charging, 100%

Only the green light of magsafe was sometimes goes on, sometimes off.

And then totally off.

But it keep charging the mac upto 100%.

But recently I am facing the same problem again as stated above.

I am not confident to go to genius bar, even if it is hardware issue, I want to confirm it by other way.

Yes, it does.

Also another strange thing I have noticed, whenever after shutting down, I turn on the power button the backlight of keyboard automatically turns on (and keep on) each time.
