Mac freezes when copying files

My Macbook Pro 15" Late 2013, with MacOS Sierra.

Processor: 2.3GHz Intel Core i7, 16GB RAM 1600 MHz DDR3, NVDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB Intel Iris Pro.

Freezes when copying files (no matter the destination Interal HD/ External USB 3.0/ Google Drive) it stops at the same data copied and the computer freezes and I need to reboot it.

Thanks for reaching out via the Apple Support Communities. From your post, I understand that you are attempting to copy data from the local drive on your MacBook Pro, but it always becomes unresponsive at a certain point. I also see this occurs no matter where you're trying to copy that data to. I'd be happy to help!

First, if you have not already done so, please restart the computer. You can do this by clicking the Apple  menu in the upper left of your screen and selecting "Restart..." from the drop down menu. Once the computer is back on, try copying your data again. If it continues to stop at the same point, I would next recommend restarting into safe mode. Once in safe mode, try copying your files. If they still stop copying at the same point, I would suggest trying to copy just the file(s) that seem to be causing trouble. If that data can be copied without issue on its own, try copying a smaller number of files at a time. However, if it continues to become unresponsive, try moving the rest of the data without the file(s) that cause the issue.
