iBooks not displaying text

Good afternoon,

I'm experiencing some issues with iBooks. This past month I upgraded to the iPhone 7 from the iPhone 6. This past week I did update to iOS 10.3.2. The issue I'm experiencing is when I open iBooks and select and book, whether it one of my own from iCloud or downloaded from the iBooks store, the book opens to the cover page and everything else is blank. The menu does not display any of the information it normally would, i.e. page number, number of pages in the book, number of pages in the chapter. I can't even get to the table of contents.

It simple does not show any information or text. I have done factor reset of the device and set it up new, the problem persists. I have restored from back up, the problem persists. I've done hard and soft resets, the problem persists. I have removed all content from iBooks and reloaded it, the problem persists. I contacted Apple via phone and spoke with a Senior Advisor, no solution has been found.

At this point, I've chocked it up to an OS issue/glitch/bug.

I am so glad I am not the only one. I have spent hours on the phone with Apple support, whose solution is to return my new iPad Mini 4. Apple needs to fix this. I have an older iPad that I did not upgrade (thank goodness) that I continue to use to read my books. I made the mistake of upgrading my iPhone 7 and my 2 week old iPad Mini.

NONE of the solutions offered in the comments work. Even the Apple engineers are scratching their collective heads - scary 😟

Just started for me too. My ibooks was displaying epub files fine last night and then started doing this this morning (can see the cover but no text, all blank pages). I was already on 10.3.3 prior to this starting.

I updated to iOS 10.3.3 and now I have 700 books with blank pages. I also tried all the resetting; redownloading; and all the other fixes found on the internet. It seem like there are a lot of people in the same boat. I think Apple should fix their software or send us hard covers of our purchased books or refund our money for the purchased books.

I'm having this issue on my iPod Touch. I tried removing everything in iBooks, deleting the app, rebooting, and then reinstalling the app. I then resynced my books. They still open blank inside, whether they were purchased from the iBook store or downloaded from other sources. Occasionally a title page will load, then no text. If the table of contents actually loads, it doesn't actually work. So frustrating. I'm used to using it everyday, and now I'm afraid I'm going to need a new e-reader.

I was having the same problem. In my case it was one book that I purchased that was causing the problem. After I deleted the book from my collection the problem was gone. I informed Apple and they refunded me for the book. Try deleting the books around the time you started having problems. You can always re-download them. I tried a lot of things

before stumbling on this cure.

I am running into this same issue.

Opening an epub in iBooks on a Mac Mini running Yosemite 10.10.5 will read the file correctly. I can then read the book. However, when opening the same epub on both an iPad Pro running iOS 10.3.3 and a Macbook Pro running Sierra 10.12.6, the pages are all blank.

I am an ePub conversion specialist for a publishing company and have tested this issue with several different ePub files that I have created and the problem is consistent. All of the file have passed validation with ePubCheck. I have shared the files via Airdrop, email, and side loading through iTunes with the exact same results. The issue appears to be with iBooks, though I cannot figure out whether it's some formatting in the book that iBooks doesn't like or coding with the latest iOS/Mac OS 's version of iBooks that is causing the files to appear blank.
