Fuji X100F and Aperture

Does Aperture support raw images from Fujifilm X100F?

I received a "Unsupported Image Format" message after I imported raw images into Aperture from the Fuji X100F camera.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Only the cameras that already have been supported by macOS Sierra 10.12.1 are supported in Aperture, see this list:

Digital camera RAW formats supported by iOS 10 and macOS Sierra - Apple Support

None of the RAW support released with macOS 10.12.2 and newer is recognized by Aperture, including your camera.

Photos for Mac should be able to develop the RAW format of the Fuji X100F. You could use Photos to develop the RAW; then use the command "Share > Add to Aperture" in Photos.

Your camera is supported by macOS 10.12.5, but only the uncompressed RAW:

Unfortunately, Aperture was not able to read the converted DNG files.

Aperture can only read uncompressed DNG.

Aperture works with most DNG files generated from cameras that support this format and with DNG files generated by the Adobe DNG Converter with the “Convert to Linear Image” option turned off.

Or try to convert your Fuji files to TIFF, it will still be a lossless format, but need more storage than the original RAW files.

Aperture is no longer supported by Apple so any new cameras are not included when Apple updates its Camera RAW

processor. Apple stopped supporting Aperture and iPhoto with the introduction of Photos in Yosemite 10.10.3 about two years ago.

You could download Adobes DNG converter which is free, this converts raw image files to Adobes dng ( digital negative) format, you then will be able to import them to Aperture. http://supportdownloads.adobe.com/detail.jsp?ftpID=6165

Eau,

Thanks for your advice. I used the Adobe DNG converter to convert the .RAF RAW files from my Fuji X100F and then imported them into Aperture. Unfortunately, Aperture was not able to read the converted DNG files.

Any other advice short of abandoning all Apple post-processing products and switching to Adobe Lightroom? Thank you again.
