Hello Piotr!

I don't quite understand what it is that you are trying to accomplish.

Do you mean a user account other than yourself, the Admin, must change the password every 60 days? And you somehow want the Mac to force this action?

If so, I'm not aware of a method to do that, but an Admin user, can change the user passwords manually.

Info here Changing or resetting an account password.

Hello Ali,
Thank you very much for the answer
I know how to change password manually. But I would like to force user to change it after for example 60 days. In the Unix systems there is such possibility. In general you can set amount of days of expiration, and systems warns user that he must change his password.
For instance in Linux and Windows XP you can set password expiration.
Probably it can be set from terminal using a proper command.

Do you mean that in the case of connecting to the server is possible to change password. In the Unix systems there is such possibility. In general you can set amount of days of expiration, and systems warns user that he must change his password.

You will not be able to do it without having a password server running. There are commands such as pwpolicy to where you can set the number of minutes until the password expires, but there are some issues when using it, especially when setting the password expiration. Once the time limit is reached, the user is no longer able to log it. They are not notified of the passwords expiration, and are not given a chance to change it. The user would have to be reactivated by the administrator by one of two ways either with NetInfo Manager, or by going into the Accounts System Preference and changing the password for them.

For a better example of what I was talking about in my previous post is that the password of an account residing on the server can have a time limitation on the password. Any local accounts you have on the machine won't be affected.

It is possible to setup password expiration with most flavors of Linux, as well as XP Pro, but with an OS X client is just doesn't seem possible.
