Want a Full Screen to Use

I have an IPad Air with latest update. For months I have 1/3 of my screen on the left side taken up with my bookmarks, searches etc very noticeable in my emails and searches... I can't find any thing on how to eliminate that so I can have a Full Screen to use for my emails and searches etc. . How do I hide this out of view? I've had iPads since yr one and never seen this before. TY

IF you mean when you are using Safari in landscape mode, just tap on the blue bookmarks icon again in order to get back to the full screen. If you are using the mail app in landscape mode, you cannot remove the preview window. In portrait mode, you can swipe to the left to remove that sidebar preview.

Demo, thank you so much for the reply. I am in landscape mode. Like right now. Typing in email - that bookmark, glasses and @ menu selection uses up 1/3 the page. I am always in landscape as the keys are larger On the keyboard and what ive gotten use to. I'm never in portrai. As you suggested, I tried tapping on the blue word "bookmarks" but does not make this side bar go away and trying to swish it aside does nothing.
