The iTunes Store is having some problems on the desktop version of iTunes. When I try to update my NBC Sports app I get an error message that says "There is a problem downloading the artwork for "NBC Sports". The Downloads pane also says "stopped (err = 8012)". Also some other apps on the App Store page are having blank app icons. This could be a problem at the iTunes Store.

Same here, all apps have 8012 error. Message "There is a problem downloading the artwork for "...".
Tried restarting, deleting contents of downloads folder, and restarting my network. Please fix this Apple. Thank You

Same problem. Apps download/update fine on iPhone and iPad but the error keeps happening on iTunes. Tried system restart without success.
Problem resolved. Must have been something at server end.
