iPhone Backup to iCloud fails due to lack of space but I have 5 GB free!

Hi everyone

My iPhone (well actually that of a friend) says it fails to backup to iCloud due to lack of space.

That is not true, as I can confirm with the following images. I have about 4 GB free.

Can someone explain this strange behaviour?

iOS ist updated to 10.3.2

Best regards

and thanks for any hint

Claudio

Yes, thanks!

For some reason the Fotomediathek was activated and I am almost sure I turned it off initially. So the dimensions of the next backup were ... 44 GB 🙂. I switched it off directly in the screen and now the next backup dimension ist computed as 1.04 GB, that makes more sense... Just one more question if you know.

How can it be that WhatsApp=2.09 MB, the backup is activated, but the dimension of the next backup is computed as only 1.04 GB?

Best regards & thank you again!

Claudio
