I received a notification this morning that someone... in Haikou, Hainan, China! tried signing into MY iCloud account. That's 12,000 km {7,000 miles} away from where I live. I've never been to China or anywhere near China.
I've had an iCloud account for several years now and I've NEVER had this happen before. Just how concerned should I be?

I've seen those notifications before right after I've signed in. But usually it is nearby location that has been mistaken for my own. If you are worried, the safest course of action would be to change your Apple ID password, or enable 2-factor verification, or both.

This may or my not be from Apple. Who was it addressed to? Who was it from?
