why doesnt my alarm make sound on silent mode?

This is the first day that I faced this problem.My alarm doesnt make sound on silent mode but it still vibrates.I have deleted all of my alarms and reset them but it still doesnt work.I have an iphone 7 and my software is up to date (10.3.2).

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems you are experiencing issues with the alarms when your iPhone has the Ring/Silent switch is set to silent. To help resolve this issue, force close the Clock app and restart your iPhone as iOS clears cached data and does other system optimizations when you turn your device off and on. Then test your issue again.

If your issue is still not resolved, your next step is to reinstall iOS on your device; this will help us isolate the situation further. Reinstalling iOS should not affect any of your data, but it is always a best practice to make sure you have a current backup in either iTunes or iCloud.

i had the same problem yesterday. normally not such big deal...it just happend that I had a flight in the morning, which I missed, because the alarm went off silently 😢. i am tyring your advice now. hope i can get this problem fixed and it wont happen ever again....

I follow the instructions for a force clothes. The problem still exist on silent mode alarm will not sound but only vibrates.

wrong....I always have my phone in silent or flight mode during the night and never had that problem before. silent mode is just for ringtones notifications sounds and so on....
