There are quite a few to buy, but it ultimately depends on your preferences.
Here's two from the US Apple Online Store:
I've never had a screen protector, and apparently never needed one. A big downside to all screen protectors: they defeat the oliophobic coating on the original glass that hides fingerprints and smudges. If you are in the habit of carrying the phone loose in your pocket with coins, keys, etc, you might be better off with one. But IMO you should never carry a $1,000 device that way.
I use the Zagg since buying the 6 Plus and I've been very happy with them.
Yes, I have heard nice things about the Zagg screen protectors. 😁 Currently on my main device I have a Spigen screen protector.
