Where is this GarageBand 2.8GB stored?

I was going through storage to see what I had in Trash, and noticed GarageBand has 2.8gb or so stored.

The app is not there.

In Applications it is not there.

I don't see any files, except 25mb of audio files for it.

So where is 2.8GB stored for it?

I have seen many forums about this, from people saying it's stayed there since deleting the App. I may have deleted the app too, and now I have 2.8gb of space.... being used up by something I don't need.

Any ideas?

Which system do you have installed on your Mac?

In Sierra you should be able to trash the Instrument Library and the Loops installed by GarageBAnd from the Storage panel:

Go to the -menu > About this Mac.

Click the "Storage" tab, then "Manage".

In the left column select "Music Creation" or "GarageBand". It will show you what has been installed by GarageBAnd or other Music Creation Software. Select the "Loops" or "Instrument Library" and delete these items by clicking the "x" that will appear, after you select them.

If you are not running Sierra, delete the contents of the following folders in the Library (the folder Library at the top level of your system Drive):

The loops: /Library/Audio/Apple Loops/

The Sounds: /Library/Application Support/GarageBand/
