Apple Pencil won't pair

Hi my apple pencil has suddenly stopped pairing with my iPad pro.


Basically i put the pencil into the lightning socket and the bluetooth icon flashes, goes solid but then quickly disables again. The battery on the pencil is full and i have also tried forgetting the pencil as well but to no avail.


The error message i am typically getting is:


"Pairing Unsuccessful. Pairing took too long. Make sure "Apple Pencil" is turned on, in range, and is ready to pair"


Any help would be appreciated

iPad Pro 9.7-inch WiFi, iOS 10.3.2

Exact same problem. Don’t have a solution and neither did the Genius Bar people at the store. What a rip off. I paired it when I got it a little over a year and then it has set in a box. Now I bring it out to use and it won’t pair and has same messages as you get. have Recently installed beta iOS 11. Could it be a glitch in the program???

My Appple Pencil just stopped pairing after successfully working for months. Apple Support and Chat could not help; they asked me to take it in.


I TRIED TO PAIR IT WITH A DIFFERENT IPAD PRO and IT WORKED!!!!


When trying to pair it with a different iPad Pro, I unplugged it and plugged it back into mine. It seemed to have rebooted the Apple Pencil.
