Black screen, iPhone detected and stuck in recovery mode

Hi there,


I recently put my iPhone 6S in charge, everything was fine I even saw it turning on because the battery was completely drained, then few hours later, black screen, couldn't hard reset it, nothing.


I finally plug it to my mbp and iTunes detected it as in recovery mode, so I downloaded the last update, and try to restore it to factory settings. "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes."


During this process and only during this time, I see the Apple logo then a progress bar appears, when the iPhone seems to react and when checking for the "Verifying Restore with Apple" the logo and the progress bar disappear and I get an error code 9.


Now I checked and updated to the last version my iTunes, and my OS, and nothing changed.


I brought it to someone, he told me there is nothing he can do to fix it.


FYI: my iPhone is not jailbreak


Can someone can help me ?

If you see error 9, 4005, 4013, or 4014 when you restore your iOS device

When you try to update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, you might see one of these messages in iTunes.

Try to update your iOS device again

If your iOS device disconnects during the update or restore or if iTunes couldn't tell the device to restore, you might see one of these messages:

  • The iPhone [device name] could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (9).
  • The iPhone [device name] could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (4005).
  • The iPhone [device name] could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (4013).
  • The iPhone [device name] could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (4014).
Try these steps:
  1. Install the latest version of iTunes.
  2. Force your device to restart:
    • On an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Volume Down buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
    • On iPhone 6s and earlier, iPad, or iPod touch, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
  3. Connect your device to your computer using a USB cable.
  4. When iTunes asks you to update or restore, click Update (not Restore) to reinstall iOS and keep your personal data.

If you still need help, try these steps

If you can update, but your device starts up in recovery mode, follow the steps above again. On step 4, choose Restore instead of Update. After the restore completes, you need to set up your device from a backup.If you continue to see an error during the update:
  1. Check for updates to your Mac or PC. If you restart your computer for an update, check for updates again after you restart.
  2. Try to restore your device using another USB cable.
  3. Try to restore your device on another computer.
If you continue to see error 9, 4005, 4013, or 4014 when you try to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, contact us.

Try restoring your iPhone 6s in DFU mode

- Launch iTunes on your computer, make sure that you have the latest version of iTunes.

- Connet your iPhone to computer.

- Press and hold the Home and Power buttons at the same time for 10 seconds, while your screen is complete black, then release the power button but continue holding the Home button until seeing a message in iTunes saying a phone in Recovery mode has been detected, then do a restore if you can.
