how long to wait until ipad disabling cycle resets

I just recently changed my Ipad password, but I guess I didn't fully remember it, because now the Ipad is disabled for 60 minutes. My question is, is there a certain amount of time I can wait until, if I get my passcode wrong again, it will go back to disabling me for 1 minute, then 5, etc. So, is there a certain time limit until the disabled-device intervals reset their 1 to 60 minute cycle? (Excluding being fully locked out of the device and being forced to reset to a backup, or start new.) This is very important, as I really don't want to lose all of the valuable pictures I have taken on the Ipad, and all of the app data from all of the apps I have downloaded.

Sorry for the late response, but

I mean that, for example, say your ipad just got disabled for 60 minutes. You try to guess your password the next week. If you get it wrong, will it disable you for one minute, or the next interval up from 60 minutes, even though you waited a week in between guesses? Is there a certain time limit you can wait until the interval cycle repeats itself? (I do not have the erase data after 10 failed attempts enabled, so it wouldn't completely lock me out after the tenth failed attempt.)
