verification code sent to dead phone
My daughters phone is dead but the verification code for her apple ID keeps being sent to her dead phone so we have no way of getting her apple ID set up on a new phone. Can you help us?

If you did not list an alternate trusted telephone number to receive codes via text or voice, and have no other trusted devices used with that AppleID, you may have to contact Apple for help. See Two-factor authentication for Apple ID - Apple Support

When you only have a single Apple device, it is strongly suggested you include a second trusted telephone number for this sort of situation (it can be another family members number, a landline, or something else - I use a Google Voice number as my backup trusted number, for example).

Thanks Brian. Our problem is that the iPhone went through water so I'm assuming the SIM card is ruined. Would that be correct?

Try using simcard from dead iPhone in new one then you may get verification code if not go to
Support.apple.com
