ICloud payment update

Yesterday I was asked to update my payment went to payment update they had the right card details so I put in my expired date and the 3 digit numbers at the back of my card I know they are right but iCloud keeps asking me to update on both my iPad and iPhone can some one tell me what is wrong? When on to the iCloud site put in what is wrong can't find any thing that helps
