yahoo mail app corrupted?

Apparently Yahoo was down earlier today. I was receiving emails via my android phone, and they were popping up as notices on my IPad Air, but not populating in the yahoo app. Deleted the app and the yahoo account. Many hours later, went to download the app in the App Store. It shows the app and says to open. It won't open. That issue finally cleared and I was able to see the app for download. HOWEVER, when I download it, it downloads an app called Raven. This Raven is different from the Raven offered in the App Store, which has a bird one is white and resembled an all white, with black lines, dart board. Anyone else experiencing this?

I also tried to restore my device, but could not get it to restore via iTunes. It is now saying there is not enough space on my iPad. Very weird!!

The yahoo app on my iPhone went weird about a month ago. It was too much of a hassle to sort through. I'm using these mail clients: CS Mail, AltaMail, and apple Mail.

as for the other. It's a big question to me.

Re-boot ipad.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears, then drag the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

force power down if the above give you trouble.

Hold down both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button. Ten seconds or more. Hold until the Apple logo appears.

Restore to factory settings by loading the latest version of ios that your machine will support:

1) Do a full backup of your device if needed. Twice is best -- cloud and computer.

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203977

2) Three ways of restoring your ipad. [ as easy as abc ]

2.a) "You can use iTunes to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to factory settings and the latest version of iOS."

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

2.b) Be a little more insistent: "You can put your iOS device into recovery mode, then restore it using iTunes.:

http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201263

3.c) At last resort you could consider DFU (Device Firmware Update). This could void your warranty.

Thanks for your reply. Short of restoring to factory settings, I have already done all of the above. I held off of the newest IOS, since so many overs were having problems with it. Downloaded last week and things seemed to be going well...until this morning. Since I couldn't access yahoo from my ipad or windows laptop, I suspect yahoo servers were down. I'll give it a day to resolve. If I'm still having issues, I'll reset to factory settings and restore.
