how can I have separate versions of one game for each person in the household?

I have downloaded games from iTunes onto my Mac Mini. But, I came to find out that they will only allow one person to play. Does the iTunes store have any game apps that allow 3 people in the same household to set up separate people in the same game as in the past?

For instance...I downloaded Secret Society. But it only tracks one player. What I want is a game that will allow separate people (i.e. father, mother and son) to have their separate records in the one game.

Can I do that using the games downloaded from the iTunes app store?

Thanks,

Mary

You can, but each person needs to have their own separate Apple ID signed into their own devices, and you can share the game through Family Sharing. Then each person gets a different copy of the game that tracks their own progress.

If you share an apple id and devices as well, then to the game that is only one person.

I'm confused. Games downloaded from iTunes would not work on an Mac Mini. Games that would run on a Mac Mini would be able to be run on separate accounts on the Mac Mini and have it track each user's progress individually by account.

If you mean an iPad Mini then its up to each game to manage multiple users. However, generally iOS devices are considered single user devices and a such support for multiple players is not usually a thing that developers consider.
