Do Not Disturb - still getting notifications

I have two iPhones: one personal, and one for work. During work, I do not need my personal iPhone, so I have it set to Do Not Disturb, but I am still getting Messages notifications. This is irritating because I use the same Apple ID on both phones, so I get notifications on both phones. How do I prevent notifications while Do Not Disturb is on?

iOS 10.3.2 on both iPhones
No Favourites in Contacts
Forwarding my personal number to my work iPhone is set up (I don't know if this is relevant)
I am using the same Apple ID on both phones

I definitely have DND on.

Reboot the phone and see if the problem continues.

Also, check to see if you have an emergency bypass set for the text message tone for the contacts you're hearing the notifications for.

If you are getting message notifications while the phone is locked, then you do not have DND turned on. Do you see a crescent moon in the status bar?

Yes! That was it. I had an emergency bypass set for one of my contacts. Thank you for the suggestion.

You're welcome. It can come in handy when you need it. Used that recently when my wife was hospitalized so I could get stuff from her without being bothered by anyone else.
