Ipad pro 10.5 audio out latency

Also having this issue on a WiFi 256 10.5 iOS 11. I only purchased this for cubasis,which works fine on my 2017 9.7 iPad. after spending $800 on the unit and hundreds more on software,this is totally wrong and needs to be addressed. I’ve sent in feedback via apples feedback app,but they don’t provide any response.

Sorry to hear you’re still having problems! I’m not sure why but I’m not. I hope that with an update of the software that it will fix the issue.

I’m using GarageBand on the iPad and haven’t tried cubase.

Hello, I'm experiencing the same problem with my new iPad Pro 12.9 2017, this bug makes it totally unusable for audio work, unfortunately I bought it for that particular task. After reading a hundred of similar posts over the internet I'm wondering if my best option is not to ask for a refund. it sounds like the problem is hardware and can not be addressed with software updates. Can someone confirm that please. Thanks

I have major latency using garage band with a midi controller. iOS 11 iPad Pro 10.5

Also have crackles when turning screen on and off while audio is playing. There must be a problem with ram allocation on all new ipad pros. I hope it gets fixed because right now the iPad Pro is worthless for music production.

Have a look at this post on the AB forum. Not much participation yet, though. Seems the bug is to do with the ipad mic.

If this is a 10.5 inch iPad Pro issue, do you know of any 2nd gen 12.9 inch iPad Pro users having any issues?

If you can find that out, maybe sell you're 10.5 inch iPad and get a 12.9 inch screen version, instead!

If both models are having these audio latency issues, then it STILL could be a hardware or software issue, or both.

I'm just a user, like you.

I don't have all the answers.

Thanks a lot for the information Inikj, After reading your post I did a clean Install of iOS 11.0.1 then I reinstalled some of my music apps such as cubasis, Thor, a few Korg synths, and the gadget app too. I carefully denied the microphone access they asked for. Unfortunately this has changed nothing for me, I got the same terrible latency five minutes after I launched the apps, and the same distortion/glitches when I've tried to use inter app audio.

If Anybody has some news about this problem, please keep posting on this thread.

I have massive issues with latency too. Matey who said he has had no issues isn’t helping our cause at all. 10.5 iPad Pro bought the other day specifically for music has been a total waste of time. SORT IT OUT APPLE 😡😡😡

Hi cuckoomusic. Is your problem only with headphones, like the OP's?

Do the speakers work fine?

How about ordinary earbuds that include a mic input?

If the speakers are OK, that should excuse any buffering issue.

You should certainly report this to Apple at this link: Feedback - iPad - Apple.
