Using Dymo 4XL With iPad Mini

Hello! My MacBook Pro suffered some water damage and I have to send it in for refurbishing. 😟


In the meantime I need a way to use my Dymo Labelwriter 4xl with my iPad Mini and Stamps.com if possible. I was thinking that if I get the USB camera connector this would allow me to use the printer as plug and play? Or is there an app I can be using that will connect the printer? I saw that Dymo has one but it is not clear if my printer would work and honestly the connector might be easier/less frustrating if it would work. Thoughts?!

It appears as if you're talking about three different issues.


  1. Coordinating your Dymo labelmaker with the iPad. Dymo has an iPad app in the App Store that should help here: DYMO Connect on the App Store
  2. Printing from an iPad. You haven't told us about your printer, but hopefully it's AirPrint capable. Use AirPrint to print from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
  3. Using stamps.com from the iPad. Presumably you could simply do this in Safari and go about printing using AirPrint.
