It is unlikely they can casually listen to your phone conversations via the WiFi network. However, you can not prove a negative. And if your parents fall into the "Mad Scientist" category, all bets are off.

When you say "text" do you mean cell phone SMS text messages?


Or are you talking about iPhone "Messages". iPhone Messages is fully encrypted end-to-end, so only you are the person or persons you are Messaging can read those messages.


You should most likely check with your cell carrier to see if they have any information about how they connect from the phone back to their offices when using WiFi calling services. While doing some Googling about your question, I did turn up something that said T-Mobile created a VPN for that traffic. Other carriers may do something similar to encrypted the WiFi calling traffic
