Error Message while loading Windows 10 in Parallels 11

I've gotten an error message from parallels while loading windows 10, which says that an error occurred while accessing the hard disk 0 used by windows 10. Error ID: PRL_ERR_Disk_Read_Failed (80021029) errno=35 (Resource temporarily unavailable).

According to Parallels support, this is a corrupted memory issue, and not a software issue. I've tried to reinstall Windows 10 through Parallels, and I get the same message. I've done disk repair, which indicated success, and there are no indications that my RAM is defective. I installed an OWC 1.0 TB SSD last year, and everything has worked great, up until now. The only thing I use Windows for is Quickbooks, so maybe it's time to give up and get a windows machine to do that? I hate to give up on my Mac, especially given all the ribbing I've gotten from my Windows friends over the years.

Any ideas?

The error is a disk error, not a memory error. It states that the resource was temporarily unavailable. A disk read had failed.

Be sure the hard drive is OK by using Disk Utility to repair it. Drives can fail or become corrupted on any hardware whether Mac or PCs.

Thanks for the reply, Kappy. However, I have performed the disk repair procedure, it says all is well, but when I reinstall Windows 10 through the Parallels interface, I get the same message. Should I just repeat the same procedures once again, hoping for a better outcome next time?

Parallels creates a pseudo-disk so the problem may be on the pseudo-disk. I'm afraid I don't know more since I don't use Parallels and have never seen that error. Clearly, the error is one generated via Parallels. You should contact their tech support for help.
