Reducing transients in audio tracks in GarageBand

Greetings.

I am doing audio recordings of my speaking voice in GarageBand. Sometimes I get a heavy "click" when I pronounce a "k" or a hard "c" (which phonetically sounds like a "k").

I was wondering if there is a way to edit the recording so as to chop off/reduce the transients that make the click sound so noticeable.

Thanks for your suggestions.

one thing to do is to practice not making them... that takes some breath control 😁

after that, a pop filter is a must; it will help out with Ks, Ps, and Bs

lastly, plosives can even pass through a diffuser, so there are a couple of things to try:

a High Pass filter with a rolloff somewhere between 100 and 300Hz may help get rid of the initial pulse.

although definitely more work, i've used volume curves to gently fade in the offending word's burst from a singer i couldn't tame.
