how can I delete my old iPhone from my account list.

Unable to delete phone 6 plus from my account list . I purchased a new iPhone and traded in my old one at the Apple Store where I live. I no longer have it. It was erased at the store. How do I delete my old iPhone from my account list on my new iPhone?

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 10.3.2

I called Apple support and they walked me through this. I logged onto my apple id - appleid.apple.com. Scroll down to devices section. You will see the devices that you are signed into. Click the one that you want to remove. You will get a popup box with information. You can Remove (in Blue) the Apple Pay associated with this iPhone or you can remove the device (in Red). I selected the Red "Remove" and my old device was gone. I had to make sure that I used the correct Apple Id associated with the iPhone. I have 2 Apple Id's and had 2 old devices to remove. This worked for me.

Thank you for your quick response. My old iPhone 6+ Does not show up on find my iPhone. In settings under my name under the devices list my old iPhone 6+ shows up, I tried removing it from my account but it cannot do it. I went under my Apple ID as you suggested and it shows up there. I tried removing it from there, but it still is listed and not removed. I was wondering if the Apple Store person forgot to do something first. My new iPhone still thinks I have it, which I do not. I might have to contact the Apple Store where I live. Thank you again for your help.

First, try going to iCloud.com on your computer, or to the Find My iPhone app on your phone, and see if the device is still showing under Find My iPhone for the Apple/iCloud ID you use.

If it is, and you see the option to "Erase" the device again, you should do so. It will ask for your Apple/iCoud ID which you will need to supply in order to turn off the Activation Lock that is still on the old phone. If you do not see an option to erase the phone, then it probably was erased correctly, and you can safely delete it from the Find My iPhone account. That should remove it after a bit from all of the other places you see it.

You can also check under Settings, click on your name, and you should be able to click on the old iPhone in the list, and when it goes to the device detail screen, the bottom of the screen should show a Remove From Account option.

You can also go to your Apple ID account, and see if it is listed there and remove it there by also clicking on the device: https://appleid.apple.com/account/manage
