Mpeg4 videos won't play on iPad pro

I am at my wits end. I have several mpeg4 karaoke videos that my husband and I have used previously on my iPad pro. They aren't in my iTunes library anymore and when I try to add them, I get an error message that says they can't be played on the iPad. I sure hope someone can help me......this is very confusing and frustrating. I have spent the entire evening trying to figure this out.

Thank you in advance

Marj

Thank you for your reply. I have already done both of those things. The files are MP4's....and I have also used Handbrake to make the files smaller in size for the iPad. We have used them all before on the iPad...and now, I can't even find them. I had a complete playlist for them. I just did a complete restore on the iPad this morning and nothing. It says they are on my iPad...User uploaded file

but I can't find them at all. I can't find ANY of the videos that used to be on the iPad. Seems they should be in the iTunes app. but none of them are there. I feel like I'm losing my minds over this. 😕
