My Apple TV remote app doesn't see my Apple TV on my iPhone 6s+ and iPad Pro

The remote app was working fine a little bit ago. But now the app on both the iPad and iPhone don't see my Apple TV. They are on the same Wifi and I didn't change any settings. The software on all 3 are also up to date. I've tried to shut off my phone and restart it. I also deleted and reinstalled the app that didn't work. Any one else have any other ideas?

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 10.3.2, null

Try the following steps for the Apple TV 2 & 3, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.


  1. Restart the Apple TV (Settings ➔ General ➔ Restart).
  2. Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
  3. Restart your router. (Also try removing its power cord for at least 30 seconds)
  4. Reset the Apple TV (Settings ➔ General ➔ Reset ➔ Reset all settings)
  5. Restore the Apple TV (Settings ➔ General ➔ Reset ➔ Restore)

Try the following steps for the Apple TV 4, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.

  1. Restart the Apple TV (Settings ➔ System ➔ Restart).
  2. Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
  3. Restart your router. (Also try removing its power cord for at least 30 seconds)
  4. Reset the Apple TV (Settings ➔ System ➔ Reset ➔ Reset all settings)
  5. Restore the Apple TV (Settings ➔ System ➔ Reset ➔ Restore)
