Mac to PC itunes switch

I currently have iTunes on a Mac, but my media files and library files are located in the same folder (organized by iTunes) on a NAS. The Mac just died, and my next computer will be a PC. There shouldn't be any reason I can't open iTunes on the new PC, choose the existing library file, and be all set .. correct?

I also sync my iPhone with iTunes, however- here I will run into an issue because it was previously being sync'd to a Mac computer- correct? What's the best way to go about this switch-over?

Thanks!

If the library files are in an iTunes folder that contains a media folder called iTunes Media which in turn holds all of the media files then it should be fine. See Make a split library portable for details. If for some reason you have broken links after connecting to the library with iTunes for Windows I have some tools and techniques for repairing things.

Since this will be the same library there shouldn't be any issue syncing your device. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device if you get an erase and sync warning (which you should cancel).
